Refund Policy

This policy explains when SpeakBreez issues refunds. It forms part of our Terms of Use, and the CANCELLATION section of those Terms applies alongside it. Where the two differ on a purchase made directly from us, this policy prevails.

1. WHERE YOU BOUGHT MATTERS

Refunds are handled by whoever took your payment.

Bought directly from speakbreez.com. We took the payment, so contact us and we will handle it under this policy.

Bought through a third-party marketplace (including any lifetime deal or redemption code purchased from a marketplace such as StackSocial). That marketplace took your payment, and its refund policy governs your purchase. Refund requests must be made to the marketplace within its stated refund window, not to us. We cannot refund a purchase we did not take payment for. Once a code has been redeemed on your account, the marketplace's policy on redeemed codes applies.

2. SUBSCRIPTIONS

You may cancel a subscription at any time from your account, or by contacting us. Cancellation stops future renewals. Your plan stays active until the end of the billing period you have already paid for, and you keep access to your remaining monthly allowance until then.

Subscription fees already charged are non-refundable, including for partial periods and for months in which you generated little or no audio. If you were charged after cancelling, or charged more than once for the same period, that is a billing error and we will refund it in full — contact us and we will correct it.

3. PAY-AS-YOU-GO CREDITS

Pay-as-you-go character credits are a one-time purchase and do not expire.

Unused credits. If you have not spent any of the credits from a purchase, you may request a refund of that purchase within 14 days of buying it. We will refund it in full and remove the credits from your account.

Partly used credits. Once you have generated audio using a top-up, that purchase is non-refundable. Generated audio cannot be returned, and you keep full commercial rights to every file you have downloaded, so the value has already been delivered.

4. WHEN WE WILL ALWAYS REFUND

Regardless of the above, we will refund you where:

•  you were charged in error, charged twice, or charged after cancelling;

•  a technical fault on our side prevented you from generating the audio you paid for and we could not fix it within a reasonable time; or

•  we are required to refund you by the consumer-protection law that applies to you.

Your statutory rights are not affected by this policy. Depending on where you live, you may have a legal right to cancel a digital purchase within a cooling-off period. Where such a right applies, it overrides anything in this policy that is less generous. Note that in many jurisdictions this right is lost once you begin using the digital content, which is why unused credits are refundable above and used credits are not.

5. WHAT IS NOT REFUNDABLE

•  Characters you have already converted to audio.

•  Subscription periods already served.

•  Purchases made through a third-party marketplace — see section 1.

•  Accounts suspended or terminated for breach of our Terms of Use, including circumventing plan limits or fair-use controls.

6. CHARGEBACKS

Please contact us before raising a chargeback with your bank or card issuer. Most billing problems are a mistake we can fix quickly and in full. We may suspend an account with an open chargeback until it is resolved.

7. HOW TO REQUEST A REFUND

Email support@speakbreez.com from the address on your account, telling us what you bought and when. We aim to respond within 5 business days. Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method and typically appear within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank.
